Arroz con Habichuelas Guisadas, a classic Puerto Rican comfort dish made with Sazón de Casa Sofrito.


Ingredients

  • 1 can pink or red beans (drained and rinsed)

  • 2 tablespoons Sazón de Casa Sofrito

  • 1 packet Sazón (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon adobo

  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small potato, diced (optional)

  • 1 cup water or chicken broth

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium pot.

  2. Add 2 tablespoons of sofrito and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

  3. Add tomato sauce, sazon, and adobo. Stir.

  4. Add beans and mix well to coat them in the seasoning.

  5. Add potatoes and water or broth.

  6. Bring to a simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until thickened.

  7. Serve over white rice.


Perfect for: family meals, meal prep, and quick dinners.
